Join IATUL

IATUL membership is institutional with the library director/managing director as contact for the institution.

All library staff of the member institution are entitled to the membership discount for conference registration.

Membership is based on the calendar year, renewable in January.

Membership types

Ordinary Membership

The ordinary membership is available to university libraries and information services of institutions offering internal graduate programmes.

Honorary Membership

As an exception to institutional membership, the Board may confer honorary membership upon individuals who have served the Association, or international librarianship, with particular distinction.

Associate Membership

IATUL also welcomes membership applications from universities offering undergraduate degrees, also other university units performing tasks related to knowledge management and support for scientific research, as well as organisations that supply services to university libraries, or government and national libraries, should they wish to be identified with the association’s activities. 

Associate membership is available, subject to confirmation by the board, to libraries and information services and commercial organisations interested in supporting the aims and objectives of IATUL.

 

Membership fees

The annual membership fee for ordinary and non-commercial associate members has been set at € 250.

There will be an exception on membership fees for the 46 countries which are currently designated by the United Nations as “least developed countries (LDCs). As an Association we need to recognise and respond to the financial barriers that can prevent some countries from fully engaging with IATUL. The membership fees for institutions in these countries will be reduced to 50% of the ordinary IATUL membership fee.

* In addition to the listed membership fees, an administrational fee of currently € 11 is charged.
