We are pleased to share with you the latest activities of IATUL's Special Interest Groups (SIG) for Library Space.

IATUL General Assembly Nov 4, 2025 - Dr Charles D. Eckman, Dean of libraries and university librarian of the University of Miami - Otto G. Richter Library, United States, was honoured at the 45th Annual Conference of IATUL, in Shanghai, China, with the honorary lifetime membership.

Traditionally our best poster prize is awarded during the annual IATUL conference, which took place for the 45th time in 2025.

IATUL offers a grant of up to 4,000 Euro to staff from member libraries to investigate and provide outcomes on current issues of importance to IATUL members. 

IATUL invites applications from its member libraries to host the IATUL Annual Conference and Seminar in the years 2027 and 2028.

2025 is the year in which IATUL celebrates its 70th birthday! We are very much looking forward to celebrating this anniversary in Shanghai this November...

IATUL currently has an exciting opening for a candidate with the ability to read and speak German to join our Executive Board as our Treasurer. Deadline: 16th October 2025.
