International Research and Study Programme 2026 - Grant receiver selected

Each year IATUL offers a grant of up to € 4,000 to staff from member libraries to investigate and provide outcomes on current issues of importance to IATUL members. Now the grant receiver for the year 2026 has been selected.

Tamar Kavtaradze

Grant receiver 2026: Tamar Kavtaradze

The selection panel for the IATUL International Research and Study Programme 2026 supported Tamar Kavtaradze from the Caucasus International University, Tbilisi, Georgia.

Her project will develop a pilot for an AI-assisted systematic review workflow, with a practical implementation guideline tailored to her home institution and a case study report documenting efficiency gains and best practices.

This project has the potential to serve as a transferable model for institutions seeking to enhance research efficiency through AI-supported tools and will ensure institutional knowledge transfer by organising structured training sessions and workshops for researchers, librarians, and IAUTL members. These activities will support the adoption of AI-assisted research methodologies, improve scientific database utilisation and reduce the time required for literature screening and research preparation. The project also included plans for further dissemination through a regional symposium in Georgia.
